Windows XP PPPoE

Step 1: Click Start and navigate to "Control Panel".

Step 2: Now you are looking for "Network and Internet Connections" Click on it once you have found it.

Step 3: Click on "Set up or change your Internet Connection"

Step 4:  On the left side of the screen you want to select "Create a new Connection"

Step 5: Follow the steps in the "New Connection Wizard". Click Next.

Select "Connect to the Internet". Click Next.

Select "Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password." Click Next.

Under "ISP Name" enter "Netspectrum Internet".  Click Next

At this screen it should ask you for a Username and Password. If you know what it is, enter it now. If you are unsure you can call our tech support at 1-800-461-6379 or or submit a ticket at www.netspectrum.ca/support and we will be able to provide the credentials to you.

This next step is optional, but if you plan to use this set up often select "Add a shortcut the this connection to my desktop". This will add a link on your desktop for the next time you want to connect to the internet with this computer.

Click Finish.

Click Connect. You should now have internet access.
